2ND ARGENTINE FILM FESTIVAL LAUNCHES 17TH APRIL WITH SPECIAL GUESTS IN ATTENDANCE
The 2nd Argentine Film Festival will launch this coming April 17th and will run through to April 21st across three London venues: Ritzy Cinema, Hackney Picturehouse and Cineworld Haymarket.
The festival, which presents the best contemporary features from and about Argentina, will commence with a special Malbec Day Preview Screening of Nicolás Carreras´ The Ways of Wine (El camino del vino), before it’s official opening on April 18th with the hit comedy All In (La suerte en tus manos) by acclaimed Argentine director Daniel Burman, and starring the Oscar-winning musician and actor, Jorge Drexler.
The Argentine Film Festival is delighted to announce that the following guests will be in attendance:
Charlie Arturaola, leading sommelier and star of The Ways of Wine. – 17th & 18th April screenings
Lorenzo Garzella and Filippo Macelloni, directors, The Lost World Cup (Il mundial dimenticato) – 20th and 21st April screenings
Dario Nardi, director, Sadourni’s Butterflies (Las mariposas de Sadourni), winner Best Director Award at Guadalajara Film Festival 2013 – 19th and 21st Aprilscreenings
The festival also confirms an additional film as part of its programme:
Gone Fishing (Días de pesca, Argentina 2012, 77 min) by Argentina’s renowned director Carlos Sorín (Bombón The Dog, Intimate Stories) has also been added to the selection for the 2nd Argentine Film Festival. The programme now includes a total of 11 contemporary features, each of which will be introduced by a short music film at the screenings at the Ritzy and Hackney Picturehouse.
