Spain’s Festival Films has taken all rights for Spain from Film Sharks Intl. on Finland’s Oscar entry “Letters From Jacob.

A redemption drama from Klaus Haro (“The New Man,” “Elina”), “Jacob” chronicles the evolving relationship between an ex-convict and blind priest. Saint Charles, Ill. based Olive Films acquired North American rights to “Jacob” late last year and plans a summer theatrical release platforming out from New York and Los Angeles, said FilmSharks’ founder Guido Rud.

Festival already handled the FilmSharks-repped Argentine marital break-up comedy “A Boyfriend for my Wife,” which it released last summer.

A bullish Berlin buyer, NonStop Films has swept up all rights to Scandinavia on Jonathan Parker’s comedy “Untitled,” starring Adam Goldberg (“2 Days in Paris”).

A satire of the contemporary art scene also co-written by Parker (“Bartleby“), “Untitled” was picked up for the U.S. by Samuel Goldwyn Films.

In futher deals, Ledafilms has closed Latin American TV rights on “Untitled,” while Impacto Cine has licensed Argentina and Chile. Brazilian and Chilean theatrical releases are under negotiation, said Rud, who added that FilmSharks had sold “Boyfriend” to Chris Lee Pictures Intl. for South Korea.

The hottest comedy out of Argentina in 2008, “Boyfriend” has now rolled out in much of the world, with Olive taking U.S. rights and Warner Bros. optioning remake rights.

“Jacob’s” deals add to a growing trawl: past buyers include Alcine Terran for Japan, Khan Ent. Co. for Taiwan and SBS for Australia.
