VietNamNet Bridge – A film crew from Cuba’s Mundo Latino film studio visited the central highlands city of Da Lat on May 5 to scout locations and do background research for a documentary on the relationship between Vietnam’s late President Ho Chi Minh and Cuban President Fidel Castro.

Film director Carolos Madoel revealed that the title of the film will be “Ho Chi Minh – Fidel Castro, Vietnam-Cuban friendship”. The two-episode documentary highlights the two great leaders’ lives revolutionary cause, talents and contributions to the struggle for national independence and construction, as well as revolutionary movements across the world.

The film will also incorporate images of Vietnam after 20 years of Doi Moi (Renewal) process, and the country’s socio-economic development, helping people of both countries learn more about the two leaders and the two nations in order to further bolster Vietnam-Cuba friendship in future.

Mr Madoel said that the filmmakers will try to complete the project within four months, and screen it in Vietnam in November and in Cuba in December.
