Sundance Kid’s Festival To Come To London
Legendary actor, producer and director Robert Redford is bringing his Sundance Festival to London with the aim of introducing a little bit of America to Britain.
He founded the not-for-profit Sundance Institute in 1981 – an organisation dedicated to promoting directors, screenwriters, producers, composers and play writers.
The festival itself has been a showcase for independent cinema for 30 years and launched the careers of Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan and Amy Adams to name but a few.
This year, the Oscars included a number of the films which were launched at Sundance including The King’s Speech, The Kids Are Alright and Winter’s Bone.
Sundance London will be held between April 26 and 29 at the O2 next year. (more…)
