South American Cinema rises the temperatures in London
The British Film Institute in London is currently presenting the film series “South American Renaissance” showcasing some of the most representative films from the region from the past few years. The series that runs through August 31st at the BFI‘s Southbank theater is presenting Martín Rejtman‘s Los guantes mágicos (The Magic Gloves); Paz Encina‘s Hamaca paraguaya (Paraguayan Hammock); Lisandro Alonso‘s Liverpool; Lucrecia Martel‘s La mujer sin cabeza (The Headless Woman); Jose Padilha‘s Bus 174 and Pablo Stoll and Juan Pablo Rebella‘s Whisky, among other films from Argentina, Peru, Chile, Brazil and Uruguay.
