San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF)

The San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF) now in its 18th year, has grown to be one of the largest film festivals on the west coast and with over 205,000 past attendees, and growing, the San Diego Latino Film Festival is amongst the largest Latino film festivals in the world. Dedicated to the works of Latinos/Latinas and/or about the Latino experience, this annual celebration of Latino cinematic heritage continues to bring together the best in Latin Hollywood with the world’s biggest Latin-American stars.  More than just the biggest San Diego Latin event of the year, the San Diego Latino Film Festival strives to focus attention to and about the local Latino community, national issues, and international trends that impact the Latino/Hispano community locally and throughout the world.

Where: Mission Valley Ultrastar Cinemas, 7510 Hazard Center Drive

When: Through March 21

Tickets: Range from $9.50 for a general admission for a single film to $180 for a festival pass


Festivalgoers don’t need a passport to travel the world through the movies showcased at the 17th annual San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF). Along with the outstanding San Diego Asian Film Festival, SDLFF towers over the local festival scene on the consistent strength of its diverse programming. San Diego Latino film festival returns with 185 films

The SDLFF may be the only chance to view some of the foreign films because many won’t be released in the U.S.

Film buffs rejoice — the 17th annual San Diego Latino Film Festival kicks off this week at Ultrastar Mission Valley Cinema. Hosted by Media Arts Center San Diego, the festival boasts 185 films honoring the best in cinema from Mexico, Spain, Cuba, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Columbia, Peru, Venezuela and the United States. San Diego Latino Film Fest

MEDIA ARTS Center San Diego’s 17th Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival is proud to celebrate Mexico’s Bicentennial with an exciting array of Mexican short and feature films. This year’s festival will screen over 40 Mexican films during the March 11-21, 2010 run to take place at UltraStar Mission Valley Cinemas at Hazard Center (7510 Hazard Center, San Diego, CA 92108).
