“El Benny” opens Cuban Cinema Day in Paraguay

The film “El Benny” (2006) by director Jorge Luis Sanchez will open Cuban Cinema show tonight, organized by the Cuban embassy in Paraguay and the National Secretariat of Culture.
The exhibition is aimed at showing Cuban films in this country and at bringing both peoples together through culture.
The recent Cuban films to be presented in the Centro Cultural Manzana de la Rivera include, in addition, “Viva Cuba” (2005) directed by Juan Carlos Cremata, and “City in Red” (2009) by Rebeca Chávez, “Kangamba” (2008) by Rogelio Paris, “Dioses Rotos” (2008), by Ernesto Daranas, and “El Cuerno de la Abundancia” (2008), by Juan Carlos Tabio.
The schedule includes film screenings from Monday to Saturday (16-22 August).
