Cristina, a Mapuche domestic assistant in the Chilean capital, Santiago, finds a briefcase belonging to an architect, Tristán. Fascinated by its contents, she starts to stalk its owner. Meanwhile, the loss of his case has propelled the hapless Tristán into an emotional journey of his own. Scherson’s audacious debut, realised in a palette of bright, bold colours, fashions eccentric parallel tales in an odyssey through a 21st-century metropolis.
